
Simply Grow with Bethia
Thursdays and Saturdays through March to June.
Our 'Simply Grow with Bethia' sessions deliver learning opportunities in our community garden. From waking up your garden in spring to planting out your first seedlings, and maintaining and protecting from pests to harvesting your produce, these sessions will green your fingers and grow your gardening confidence.
This relaxed course is suitable for any skill level or ability.
Session 1 - Saturday 9th April 11am - 12.30pm
Seed sowing/raising & Prepping your garden (compost)
Session 2 - Saturday 14th May 11am - 12.30pm
Beans, Peas & Garden structures & brassicas
Session 3 - Thursday 9th June 6pm - 7.30pm
Salads & kitchen larder garden (herbs, onions, garlic)
Session 4 - Saturday 25th June 11am - 12.30pm
Mediterranean veg: Tomatoes, courgettes, chillies etc
Session 5 - Saturday 16th July 11am - 12.30pm
Roots, squashes & pests + diseases
Session 6 - Thursday 11th August 6pm - 7.30pm
Garden maintenance, second planting, harvesting & plant surgery
You will need to bring a pair of gardening gloves and wear outdoor activity appropriate clothes (though there won’t be a lot of mess involved). You can also bring your own trowel/hand fork/secateurs if you wish/have them.
Everything else you need during the course will be provided, including seeds and pots.
This course is suitable to adults and children (over the age of 6) but all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.
All abilities/mobilities welcome.
