Combine age-old food creations with the latest food trends, mix in some solid eco practices, with low-waste or biodegradable packaging, to create a vibrant hub of local growers, producers, makers, bakers and artisans!
The greatest step towards living a more sustainable lifestyle is to live off the local land. Our guiding ethos here at the The Village is to support local producers, keeping a short, direct supply chain, and ensuring that our food miles are as low as they can possibly be.
Working with farmers in Leicestershire and Rutland; we provide a collective base for a handful of passionate producers creating high-quality food that is slowly grown or reared, and rich in nutrients.
We don't believe in poor quality food, imported from elsewhere or lacking in basic nutrition. We believe in high-quality provisions from within a 15-mile radius of our Market Harborough shop. Produce that is grown to organic standards and creates very little food waste.
Alongside our producers, we have a dynamic collection of bakers and makers, all creating nutritious and delicious food.
We are fast becoming the go-to for vegan food in Market Harborough. With an ever-growing collection of vegan products and businesses available within the Eco Village.
Vegan and gluten-free cakes are baked onsite by in The Village Kitchen, superfood powders created by Unfiltered Vegan, as well as kombucha created by The Bearded Persian.
Here at the The Village, we are home to an exciting array of foodie and street food pop up's too! Regular events include our Pizza Thursdays, with delicious wood-fired sourdough pizzas from The Wood Oven to warm up our Thursday evenings, to monthly stalls in our courtyard by vegan cooks Farrinheight Foods.
