- 2 weekday shifts totalling 8-12 hours

Job Description:
- We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cafe Assistant to join our team.
- This hands-on role includes preparing and serving drinks, baking cakes, interacting with shop customers and other day-to-day aspects of a busy cafe. c
- You’ll need to be confident working both independently and as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service in a welcoming and approachable way
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, and light meals
- Bake cakes for the cafe, using in-house recipes
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Work independently at times, using your own initiative to manage tasks
- Support and guide volunteers working alongside you
- Assist with cafe-based community events and activities
Requirements: - Must be 18 or over
- Experience in food preparation is desirable but not essential
- Up-to-date food hygiene training (Level 2 Food Safety or above, we can help with this if needed)
- Confidence in baking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
- Experience with stock management is desirable but not required
